Problem solved.
I like the way the curtain puddles on the floor a bit. And I really like that free fringe along the top. This curtain was the easiest thing in the world to make because the drop cloth is already hemmed all the way around. All I had to do was sew the fringe along the top edge, fold the curtain over about 8" and sew that down, and then hand sew it to the rings. You can buy rings with little clips on them, but I had all these vintage iron rings, so I sewed the curtain on.
I love the look and think it's a great solution to your problem. How are you going to wash the floor?
ReplyDeleteI love how this turned out! It looks great and is highly practical...what more could you want?! Love that fringe too!

I love how the curtain turned out. I never thought about all 4 sides being hemmed. Fantastic. I like how heavier and not so common 'fabrics' are being used lately. Burlap is BIG!!
ReplyDeleteYou are starting a new trend, Laura!!

ReplyDeleteThe curtain looks awesome. I love how you put it together and the way you can hide the refrigerator. You did a great job on it!
ReplyDeleteInteresting story you got here. It would be great to read something more concerning that topic. Thanks for posting that material.

Just found your site when I was looking for drop cloth curtains. I love how you have hidden the fridge. I have a spot just like that in my home too and I'm probably going to try to figure out a way I can "borrow" your idea.
