Now you've posted my all time favorite. We had a huge "bush" in our backyard at one time - not this house - and instead of climbing, there was nothing to climb on, it just became its own big bush - it was right outside the bedroom door and on summer evenings we'd leave the door open for the wonderful scent. Each spring we would cut it back to almost nothing and it would spring back and be full and gorgeous. I also clipped off the dead flowers and then would get another blooming or two - which they say you can't get - but we sure did. I loved that rose. The deer would just eat it down to nothing if I had on here.

ReplyDeletefantastic, we are moving to California as soon as possible
ReplyDeleteI do love roses, the scent, the waxy feel of the petals, the glossy leaves. I can't wait until ours come out in the UK!
