A Tale of Two Cats

Sophie: fat, docile, fixed, female.
Ever watchful of birds and squirrels.
The consummate DREAMER.

Nike: thin, scrappy, scarred, tom.
Ever watchful of humans and free meals.
The prudent REALIST.

And so it would seem we now have TWO cats here Amongst The Oaks.

They both seem regal. You didn't have two cats before? I have not visited in a while so I am out of the loop on cats and other things. Guess I better browse some more!

Hope all is well with you!

Such lovely cats--and what is a garden without a cat lurking about or sunning itself?
I can't believe Nike--he so closely resembles the old Tom Cat I grew up with- Tom had a little more white fur on his chest and paws, but he had the nicked ear and battlescars to prove how tough he was. That was in the days before cats were taken to the vet to get neutered! Poor old Tom would disappear for two or three days and come back to beaten up and sleep for two or three days to recover. We had him for over 13 years--then one day he just never came home.
