Cherry Season

The little town of Linden nearby likes to call itself the Cherry Capital of the World and they grown some fine Bings, but truthfully cherries are grown in lots of towns around the world. We were given some cherries yesterday from our neighbor who got them from a friend out near Linden. It was a mixture of Bings and Raniers. We've never had the Raniers before and they are even larger than the Bings and maybe a little sweeter. Really yummy.

I had fun playing with them yesterday morning. I took some photos to share with you all, then I ate a few.

Then I took some more photos, and ate a few more.

More photos, more eating.

Look, cherries on parade, then more eating.

Oooooo, synchronized swimming, then more eating.

Guess what? My stomach was upset yesterday. I wonder why.

I look forward to cherries every year. We can't get them locally, so it's the grocery stores job to get them from Linden to Rogers!

Love the pictures! My husband likes the black sweet cherries we can find close by.

You were just having too much fun with the cherries. Too bad you ate too many as well. I am always afraid to eat too many. Worried I might get the runs as we call it. I'll eat a few, but don't want to overindulge. I often wonder if you get in the habit of eating cherries then will your body tolerate them better? I think I am afraid to find out. Father's Day weekend we go to hubby's high school reunion at a Cherry ranch in Southern California. A former classmate has one I guess. We will soon find out what that is like. And yes I will take my camera.

Oh, our cherries are ripe right now, too. I was standing out there just last night picking and eating a few! Yummy!

Hugs!
