Tule Fog

It's tule fog season here Amongst The Oaks. It happens every winter. You'd think I'd be used to it, but I don't like it. Above is a picture of the Central Valley of California filled with fog. I'm down there waving at you. It looks like cotton from above, but down below it's all gray.

The fog is so damp and depressing. I never seem to get warm when it's foggy. The damp just cuts right through my clothes and I'm cold, cold, cold. A walk always seems to help. Not only does it warm me up, it also cheers me up. I took these photos on my walk the other day. The creek looks mysterious in the fog, but I found the drops of water suspended on things to be more interesting.
Here's a spider web.

And some blades of grass.

That's it from here Amongst the foggy Oaks. I hope your day is sunny.

Oh, I know about your fog! My parents live in the central valley. My dad called the other day to say it lifted and they had actual sun! My parents were in a great mood, to say the least! haha! And I remember the terrible accident they had on the freeway a few years back! Stay cheerful :)

Yep, the dreaded Tule Fog! We live closer to the coast, so we get the coastal fog. It has been pretty dense a few times in the past week or so. There was at least one day where it never burned off. Stayed dreary all day. Today is sunny though! Yay!

That is the coolest photo of the valley from above, but I still don't like the fog. It's so dreary. I remember in high school having my hair go frizzy and sad while waiting for the bus and freezing the entire time. Glad I don't have to do that anymore. At least today we can make a big fire and be cozy inside!
Hugs!

We don't get tremendous fog here in New Jersey which is probably why I don't mind it. But we have hideous humidity from about May to October and THAT I mind. We are glad to be having a sunny day after days of torrential rain out here, maybe we'll be able to put the finishing touches on our outdoor Christmas decorations today!

Beautiful scenic photos, even if the fog makes things damp and depressing. ;-)
