White Flower Challenge - Day 6

Acanthus mollis

Acanthus sends up these flower spikes in May. They are tinged with purple and tipped with spines.
The flowers are hidden under bracts. They look like some sort of strange alien to me. Look, it even has a tongue. Weird!

What a strange but beautiful flower!

Your back deck is so pretty! And I love the photo of the tea bags and their trailing streams. The lavender wands brought back memories from France, watching folks make them.
