Front Porch Party

Welcome to my little front porch birthday party for Rhondi. But my front porch is too small for anything but a Phoebe's nest, so we're having the party out back by the cottage. Let me just set things up...

First I'll make some sun tea. We always make it this way; it's so fast and easy and doesn't heat up the kitchen.

I love the way the color runs out of the teabags. I put a few cranberry ones in this tea. And I'll put some sugar in it when it's done just like mama taught me.

I got out some of grandma's pretty napkins because I knew you ladies would appreciate them. And everyone is getting a lavender wand. Would you like pink?

Or blue?

Now, would you like elderflower cordial or sweet tea?

Tea? Great, here you go. Oops! What's that?

Drat, it's a flower off the oak tree. Sorry about that. Oh well, they're just a fact of life Here Amongst The Oaks.

Happy Birthday Rhondi!

Oh how fun! And I love sun tea! My grandmother always had a pitcher "brewing" out on her porch and still does! What wonderful memories! Your red furniture is so cute!
Have a great day!

Wow, great set up. Awesome pics! Thanks for sharing. I posted my porch pics too but I may have been too late to make the list. Darn.

Pop on by if you get a chance!

This is just lovely! Your home, your porch and all the wonderful oaks :)

I grew up in Arcadia, CA in a place called The Oaks, but I live in Ohio now and miss those big Oak trees.

Thank you for the tea ;)

We have to sweep mounds of oak "flowers" from everything around here. I love your red chairs that match your cottage door and I will take a blue Lavender wand...thank you very much;-).

Hi Laura
I'm sorry I am so late for the party. Is there any tea left? I was so busy organizing the party that I forgot to visit all the porches myself! Silly me. Your porch is wonderful and the cottage looks charming.
