White Flower Challenge - Day 4

Gardenia jasminoides

Now here is a fabulous white flower known for its intense, exotic scent. One waxy flower can perfume an entire room. It thrives here in California's central valley if given an eastern exposure. The western sun in the summer can burn it.

Creamy white scented perfection.

This made my day. I closed my eyes and breathed in the sweet scents of purity and charm.

Your pictures are unbelievably lovely.

I think the Gardenia is one of my favorite flowers. In our old neighborhood, an elderly neighbor always remembered the date of our wedding anniversary. Several times her Gardenia would be flowering on that day and she would bring me one of her blooms. Thanks for helping that sweet memory surface.

Hi Laura
What beautiful photos of the gardenia. I am excited that you're going to join the party tomorrow. It's going to be lots of fun!
Hugs, Rhondi

That last gardenia picture is wonderful -- now if you could just make a 'scratch and sniff' post, that would make my day!
