Summer Beauty

I don't know about the rest of the country, but here in California's Central Valley we have had a marvelous summer. In July we only had 5 days over 100 degrees, and so far in August we've only had 4 days over 100. Consequently, my roses are quite happy.
Last year it seemed like it would get really hot just as a new wave of roses was forming, and then they'd all get burned right as they opened. But not this year! I've got lots of roses, all happily blooming away in the front garden.
Here is my favorite; Double Delight. I hope you're not tired of seeing it, but it's one of my summer pleasures here Amongst The Oaks.

It's almost unreal, it's so beautiful. Unfortunately we have not had a summer in Teesdale in England. It has been cool and wet and the roses have suffered black spot badly.
Glad yours are so lovely
Cheers Gillian

Your roses are lovely. I'm glad someone has had a good summer. Here in England it has done nothing but rain and we have seen very little sunshine.
